Department of Political Science
The Department of Political Science at Dr. Y.S. Parmar Govt. PG College Nahan is currently providing the Bachelor of Arts (BA) program with a focus on Political Science, operating under the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS). This degree program, carefully crafted by the Department of Political Science, encompasses Discipline Specific Core and Elective Courses, along with Skill Enhancement Courses and Generic Elective Courses.
Furthermore, the department offers students unique opportunities to apply their theoretical understanding of politics to contemporary scenarios by engaging them in a range of activities such as seminars, workshops, field trips, and conferences. Adding to the academic experience, the department proudly hosts the “Political Science Society,” a functional subject society where the subject teacher serves as the president, and a final-year student holds the vice-president position. This structure fosters an enriching academic and extracurricular environment for students to develop a comprehensive understanding of political science.
