“CHEMICOS an association of students and teachers of Department of Chemistry, Dr. Y.S. Parmar, Govt. P. G. College, Nahan celebrated “Science day” on 28th Feb., 2019.
Various activities like paper reading, chart making, poster making and collage making competition depicting importance of Science in our day to day life were organized during the celebration. 25 students participated in these activities. Office bearers of CHEMICOS, “President: Ms. Renu (B. Sc. VI Sem)”, “Vice President: Mr. Kailash, “Secretary: Ms. Vinita (B. Sc. VI Sem)”, “J. Secretary: Mr. Shubham (B. Sc. VI Sem)” and “Treasurer: Ms. Neha (B. Sc. VI Sem)” along with other members of CHEMICOS greeted all the staff members and students and organized a signature campaign on this day. Students of the college were made aware of this day by displaying posters/ charts etc. on importance of science in our day to day life. All the teaching and non- teaching members of Chemistry Department were present during the celebration and Dr. Saloni Sood of Deptt. of Chemistry explained the “Importance of Science in Life” to the students. Other teacher members of CHEMICOS also addressed students in respective classes and motivate them to develop scientific temperament.
